History and Time Line

1983 : Gupta Steel established by Kapoorchand Bansal and Raj Bansal In the partnership with Mr. Shivji Gupta at plot no 1 of Alang Ship Breaking Yard.

1983 : Started the breaking of first ship named M.V. Saudi Trader with 5670 LDT/MT.

1992 : Kapoorchand Bansal Started Ship Breaking activity as sole proprietor of Gupta Steel (Ship Breakers) at plot No. 41 of Alang Ship Breaking Yard.

1993 : Bansal Gases established in order to assure uninterrupted oxygen supply to the own ship breaking unit.

1996 : Bansal Ship Breakers Pvt. Ltd. established because of increasing number of vessel per year to be dismantled.

1999 : Bansal Air Products established to cater the increasing needs of own ship breaking industry as well as to other industries.

2001 : Bansal Exports commenced the work

2001 : M.T. Atlantic Blue, the largest ship ever we purchased broken by us. (44023 LDT/MT)

2002 : Gupta Ship Breakers Shifted to current location Plot no 39.
